Design Manager
Full Time – 41.5 Hour Basic Week
Salary – Competitive / Negotiable dependent upon experience
A leader within the UK construction market offering bespoke joinery solutions for Commercial, Residential and Specialist projects, we are looking for an innovative and passionate individual to lead and motivate collaborative teams as a Design Manager in our Bildeston office.
This is a dynamic role, requiring simultaneous management of multiple ongoing projects. It involves managing the processes relating to the Projects Design ensuring everything is delivered to schedule and budget.
This role involves working very closely with Design Technicians, Project Managers, Surveyors, Site Managers and other key members of the project team.
Main Responsibilities include:
- Managing the setting out of projects including setting up status reports with suffix allocation and the allocation of hours / work to design technicians, raising RFI’s, sample and technical submittal requests.
- Completing site surveys and attending meetings associated to the design development of the project.
- Checking drawings against architect details and liaising with to ensure the completed project aligns with their vision.
Skills and Competencies:
- AutoCAD or Solidwork experience and strong IT knowledge
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to stay focused in difficult situations.
- A willingness to take full accountability for your role, actions, judgements and decisions.
- Ability to lead and motivate collaborative teams.
- Teamworking, relationship building and influencing skills
Experience within the joinery industry, producing high end detailed joinery / manufacturing drawings is desirable however not essential as full training will be provided.
