We are looking for a proactive, organised and hands-on Stores & Administration Assistant to support both our Administration and Internal Stores functions.
This is a varied role that combines office administration with practical stores duties. You'll spend part of your day supporting our administration team by processing information through our MRP system, while also assisting within our internal stores by preparing production jobs, booking in deliveries and ensuring stock is accurate and organised.No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who is flexible, enjoys variety and is happy to help wherever needed.Working within our specialist wiring manufacturing business, you'll become familiar with thousands of electrical components and use our intelligent MRP system to ensure materials are controlled accurately throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration team with day-to-day office tasks.
- Process works orders and transactions through our MRP system.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements.
- Update production and purchasing information.
- Assist with filing, document control and general administration.
- Support purchasing and planning activities when required.
Internal Stores
- Pick component kits for production jobs.
- Book in supplier deliveries and check goods received against purchase orders.
- Inspect deliveries for accuracy and report any discrepancies.
- Prepare completed jobs and customer orders for dispatch.
- Produce shipping paperwork and labels where required.
- Carry out regular stock counts and inventory checks.
- Organise and maintain the internal stores area to a high standard.
- Ensure components are correctly identified, stored and readily accessible.
- Support the flow of materials between stores and production.
- Assist with general day-to-day stores activities as required.
