Envirofield is looking for a Trials Technician to join our team in Drinkstone. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for approximately three months, with a Monday to Friday shift pattern and overtime available during our peak harvesting and drilling season.

Envirofield is an expert independent contract field trials company, specialising in agricultural and environmental research across the UK. We are one of the UK’s leading soil sampling companies, offering Soil Mineral Nitrogen sampling nationwide alongside a range of other agricultural services.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the Regional Trials Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our harvest and drilling programme during one of the busiest periods of the year. Working alongside our Trials Officers and wider field team, you will help ensure trials are drilled, maintained and harvested safely, accurately and on schedule.
What you’ll do:
- Support the drilling, harvesting and day-to-day delivery of field trials across a range of crops.
- Operate and assist with the maintenance of specialist trial equipment, including plot combines and drills.
- Assist with the collection, processing and handling of trial samples during harvest.
- Support field operations, including trial establishment, crop monitoring and site preparation.
- Carry out vehicle and equipment checks, helping to ensure machinery remains safe and operational.
- Assist with data collection and record keeping where required.
- Follow company health and safety procedures and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure seasonal workloads are completed efficiently.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience working within agriculture, farming, field trials or a practical outdoor environment.
- Confidence operating agricultural machinery or a willingness to learn quickly.
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to undertake physical work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Flexibility to work additional hours during peak harvest periods.
