We are looking for an experienced and driven Employment Specialist Coordinator to support the delivery of our Connect to Work programme - an innovative service supporting individuals facing significant and complex barriers to employment.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role within a highly structured, high-impact supported employment model, working at the intersection of people, performance, and purpose.

Connect to Work is delivered in line with the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) and Individual Placement and Support (IPS) models.

As an Employment Specialist Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring these standards are embedded across the team – blending supporting strategic oversight with consistent frontline delivery. This is a dual-role combining team leadership and a small caseload.
We’re looking for individuals who can bring:

Significant experience working with individuals facing multiple and complex barriers, including mental and physical health conditions.
Strong leadership and line management experience in a delivery-focused environment
The ability to balance people management with operational delivery
Experience working within high-performance, target-driven services
A commitment to person-centred, strengths-based and inclusive practice
Resilience, sound judgement, and the ability to support others in high-pressure or emotionally demanding situations.

Important Information

37 hours per week with flexible working expectations
Community-based role – not primarily office-based
Occasional evening and weekend work required
DBS check required
Travel across Newport required (access to reliable transport essential)
