Subcontract Carpenter / Fitter Wanted
ATC Floors and Doors Ltd is a family-run timber flooring and joinery business working across Monmouthshire, South Wales, Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas.
We are currently looking for a reliable subcontract carpenter or small fitting team to help with the fit-out of our new showroom in Monmouth, with the potential for ongoing fitting work on customer projects afterwards.
The initial work will involve helping us create a high-quality showroom space using our own timber products and finishes. This may include bespoke timber displays, wall cladding, flooring, doors, skirting, architraves, staircase/cladding details and general second-fix carpentry.
Following this, there may be regular subcontract work available on our domestic projects, including:
- Installation of engineered and solid timber flooring
- Plank and herringbone flooring
- Subfloor preparation
- Internal doors
- Skirting, architraves and door liners
- Staircase and timber cladding works
- High-quality finishing work in private homes
We are looking for someone who is reliable, tidy, practical and takes real pride in their work. Most of our projects are in customers’ homes, so a friendly and professional approach is very important.
Ideally you will have:
- Proven experience in carpentry, joinery or timber flooring
- Own van and tools
- Public liability insurance
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
- Availability for project-by-project subcontract work
We can provide job-specific equipment where required, including heavy sanding machinery.
This could suit an experienced carpenter, floor fitter, joiner or small team looking for additional work with a well-established local company.
Rates to be agreed depending on experience, tools, vehicle, insurance and the type of work.
