Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and demonstrate the ability to diagnose and repair various types of machinery and vehicles. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations, contributing to overall productivity and safety.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake checks, and tyre rotations.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems as required.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of work orders.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the workshop or on-site.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology related to mechanical systems.

Experience

Previous experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is essential.
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools relevant to mechanical repairs.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
The candidate should possess their own tools and have a positive attitude towards the trade.
A valid driving licence is essential for roles requiring on-site repairs or inspections.
Qualification as an MOT tester would be advantageous.
