A vacancy exists within Waste Operations & Logistics for a Technical Writer based within D1208 supporting the adoption of a revised facility Safety Case following a licence condition review. This is a highly visible role where your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining compliance, enhancing safety standards, and ensuring critical documentation is accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose.
What you’ll be doing:
In this role, you will take ownership of updating and improving key facility documentation, ensuring alignment with revised safety requirements and implementation plans. Acting as a central point of expertise, you will collaborate with stakeholders, validate documentation against operations, and deliver high-quality outputs within defined timescales. Your work will be essential in ensuring that safety measures are clearly communicated and consistently applied across the facility.
- Be the focal point for the revision and update of facility written instructions in line with the revised Safety Case
- Implement and manage document changes, ensuring compliance with (K)SRE, (K)SMR and OAs requirements
- Conduct quality and compliance checks, working closely with stakeholders and carrying out plant walkdowns

- Proficient IT skills, including experience with document systems and software packages

Terms and Conditions
Basic Annual Income – £38,354 to £51,475 overtime rates apply as standard.
37.9 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Every third Friday being a non-working day.
Annual Holiday Entitlement: 25 days annual leave, 8 public holidays, 2.5 privilege holidays
Contract Duration – 12 month fixed term
Security Clearance – Vacancy requires candidate to undergo security clearance checks
