We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our gardens and outdoor spaces. This role requires proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to irrigate and care for various plant types.
Duties
- Perform regular landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, and weeding to ensure gardens are well-kept.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for various gardening tasks.
- Irrigate plants and manage watering schedules to promote healthy growth.
- Assist in planting, growing, and nurturing a variety of plants, flowers, and shrubs.
- Conduct groundskeeping duties to maintain the overall appearance of outdoor areas.
- Monitor plant health and identify any issues such as pests or diseases, implementing appropriate solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement new garden layouts or enhancements.
- Hard landscaping skills preferred for: edging paths, building raised beds, fencing, paths and paving.
- A willingness to get stuck in an every changing routine!
Qualifications
- Proven experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with using power tools such as lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and other gardening equipment.
- Strong knowledge of plant care, including irrigation techniques and growing practices.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Good physical fitness is essential as the role involves manual labour.

We are looking for a skilled gardener to join our small garden design and maintenance company based in Bristol. To work on planting jobs, implementing new garden designs and to help maintaining the gardens and grounds of our clients properties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a lover of the great outdoors!
Responsibilities:
- Keep our clients garden areas clean and organised
- Plant, water, and nurture flowers, plants, trees, and shrubs
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to maintain and cultivate gardens
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning
Requirements:
- Proven experience in gardening and groundskeeping
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools effectively
-Horticultural knowledge of and general understanding of plant growing cycles and care techniques
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces
- References will be required
-Full clean driving license and an ability to drive vans and large vehicles is a plus, but not essential.
Job Type: Freelance
Expected hours: 3 days a week, with a possibility to move to 5 days in the future.
