We're looking for a Section Engineer (Geotechnical) to join our KierBAM Joint Venture team based in Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Hours: 45 hours per week

KierBAM is a Joint Venture partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall, currently delivering an exciting redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site in Plymouth. We're seeking a Section Engineer (Geotechnical) to join our team working in this live MOD facility. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a significant infrastructure project in a unique and challenging environment.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Section Engineer (Geotechnical), you'll be working within the KierBAM Joint Venture team, supporting them in delivering this important redevelopment project. Your day to day will include:
- Managing the preparation of as-built drawings and establishing effective systems to record work completed
- Assisting in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, including drilling, grouting and anchoring
- Providing engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered
- Taking responsibility for setting out works and providing dimensional control to ensure accurate construction
- Preparing sketches for distribution on site and maintaining clear communication channels for effective understanding
What are we looking for?
This role of Section Engineer (Geotechnical) is great for you if:
- You hold an academic qualification at Level 3 or above (HNC, HND, or Degree)
- You have demonstrable experience in various geotechnical applications such as drilling, grouting, anchor installation, inspection and testing
- You have a good standard of IT skills including CAD and BIM systems
- You are familiar with Quality Management Systems and writing RAMS
- You hold CSCS White PQP/AQP and SMSTS qualifications
