Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server/Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team.
HOURS OF WORK: 10-20hrs per week
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving a variety of beverages, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards (you need to be 18+ to handle alcohol)
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
- Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including handling payments and giving change
- Monitor guest intoxication levels and intervene responsibly when necessary
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts, and clean the FOH stations.
- Engage with guests to promote a friendly atmosphere and encourage repeat visits
- Help serving food, communicating efficiently with the kitchen and with the guests.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a hospitality setting, preferably as a bartender/server or in a similar role within a restaurant or bar environment. We prefer people with experience in fine dining, AA rosette level cuisine.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Strong serving skills with excellent customer service abilities
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
- Effective time management to ensure timely service delivery
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly personality with excellent communication skills, particularly in engaging with diverse clientele.
Days off (always on Monday and Tuesday)
The pub is open Wednesday to Sunday, so the candidates have to be available to work these dates, especially on Sunday.
As this role is a hospitality base role, you will be required to work Valentine's Day, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and New Year'Day. If you can't commit to these important dates, you won't be forwarded to the next step of application.
Alcohol handling: you need to be 18+ to be able to handle alcohol.
We prefer long term staying people rather than temporary.
