Stores / Dispatch Operator

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week. Monday to Thursday 09.00am – 4.00pm (inclusive of breaks)

LML Products was established in Calne in1968. Our core business activities are the manufacture of bespoke copper connections, terminations, busbars and other related products for electrical & electronic applications.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and organised Stores Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage, picking and distribution of stock/goods, ensuring that the stores operation runs smoothly and accurately.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, works well as part of a team and has excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Receive, check and accurately record incoming goods.
Safely store stock in the appropriate locations.
Pick & pack parts according to the customer’s order requirements.
Maintain accurate stock records and carry out perpetual inventory checks.
Ensure the stores area is clean, tidy and organised.
Follow company procedures relating to stock control and health and safety.
Report damaged, missing or incorrect stock promptly.
Support stock takes and investigate discrepancies.
Work closely with purchasing, production, engineering and other departments to ensure materials are available when required.
Carry out other reasonable duties associated with the role.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Is organised, dependable and able to work to deadlines.
Has good attention to detail and high quality standards.
Can work independently as well as part of a team.
Has good communication and basic IT skills.
Is physically capable of handling stock and picking/packing goods safely.
Has a positive, flexible and can-do attitude.

· Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or logistics environment would be very beneficial but not absolutely necessary.
