Full job description

This is a flexible role suited to a self-employed contractor, offering 1 to 4 days of work per week depending on project needs and your availability. The day rate is £170, with travel expenses covered, and you’ll be working up to 10 hours per day including travel time.

Drapes-UK are a leading provider of high-quality curtains and blinds for show homes, new builds, and contract projects such as apartment blocks, schools, holiday parks, and retirement homes. Based in Nottingham with a nationwide presence, we are commitment to excellence and have a stellar reputation in the industry.

Job Responsibilities:

Install curtains and blinds in show homes, new builds, and contract projects across the country.
Travel to various locations to complete check measures and installation tasks promptly and efficiently.
Ensure that all installations meet the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
Collaborate with site managers to ensure proper coordination and timely execution of installations.
Safely operate hand tools and equipment necessary for installation purposes.
Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues that may arise, employing problem-solving skills to deliver optimal results.
Maintain accurate records of completed measurements and installations.
Adhere to company policies, safety guidelines, and industry regulations at all times.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Curtain and Blind Fitter, ideally in show homes, new builds, or contract work.
Valid CSCS card
Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment required for curtain and blind installations.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering outstanding results.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time and tasks effectively.
Clean driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy curtains and blinds.

Pay: £170.00 per day
