Overview
We are seeking a passionate and creative Florist to join our team to cover a maternity leave with possibility of becoming permanent. The ideal candidate will have a strong appreciation for floral design and a keen eye for detail. As a Florist, you will be responsible for creating stunning floral arrangements for various occasions, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the overall aesthetic of the shop. Your role will involve working with a variety of flowers and plants, ensuring they are fresh and beautifully presented.

Responsibilities

Design and create floral arrangements for weddings, events, and daily sales.
Assist customers in selecting flowers and arrangements that meet their needs.
Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop, including the display areas.
Manage inventory levels of flowers, plants, and supplies to ensure freshness and availability.
Provide care for plants and flowers through proper watering, pruning, and maintenance techniques.
Collaborate with team members to develop merchandising strategies that enhance sales.
Stay updated on current trends in floral design and horticulture to offer innovative ideas to customers.

Skills

Minimum 5 years experience in floristry.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment.
Knowledge of horticulture and gardening practices to ensure proper care of plants.
Creative flair with an eye for colour, design, and detail in floral arrangements.
Experience in merchandising to effectively display products and attract customers.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. If you have a passion for flowers and enjoy creating beautiful arrangements while providing excellent customer service, we would love to hear from you!
