Senior IT Engineer

What You'll Do

Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure — switches, routers, wireless systems, and firewalls.
Lead on-site IT installations and commissioning across diverse commercial environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and systems issues, often as the lead technical presence on site.
Oversee structured cabling installations and ensure everything meets industry standards.
Manage and support integrated solutions including CCTV, access control, and AV systems.
Be the technical point of contact for clients — professional, clear, and confident.
Support and mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and raising team standards.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or systems engineering in a field-based or client-facing role.
Strong working knowledge of networking fundamentals — switching, routing, VLANs, wireless, and firewalls.
Hands-on experience with platforms such as Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti UniFi, Fortinet, or similar.
Comfortable with structured cabling, rack builds, and on-site IT deployments.
A sharp eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure.
A people person — you'll be meeting a wide variety of clients and stakeholders, and building good relationships is as important as the technical work.
A valid UK driving licence (minimal endorsements) with at least three years' driving experience.
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are desirable but not essential.
