Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a Delivery / Collection Driver with an HGV Class 2 License, with flexibility and a good work ethic to work from our plant in Redruth for an as soon as possible start. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Purpose of the role:

To deliver and collect linen between the company site and customer premises in a safe, secure and timely manner.
Efficient and accurate loading and unloading of items in accordance with company methods and procedures.
Recording and accurate completion of documents, including accurate compliance with assimilated (EU) driver rules.
To display a professional and courteous approach to all customers, motorists and other members of the public.
To maintain a high quality of vehicle care including: avoiding damage and regular cleaning.
Completion of daily safety checks of vehicle.
Driving within the UK highway code regulations.
Uphold company policies regarding safety, cleanliness, and customer service at all times.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE INVOLVES REPETITIVE AND HEAVY LIFTING THAT WILL AT TIMES REQUIRE CARRYING PACKED LAUNDRY HAMPERS UP AND DOWN STAIRCASES AND STEPS, SOMETIMES IN CONFINED SPACES.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Valid HGV Class 2 driving license.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and best practices.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
A commitment to safety and following traffic laws while on the road.
