Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Care Home Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and safety of our care facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment and infrastructure within the home, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff alike.

Expected hours would be 18 hours a week.

9am-3pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Liaise with management to plan maintenance schedules that minimise disruption to residents and staff.
Carry out regular water testing and temperature checks
Be able to work on own initiative and unsupervised
Have own transport
Garden maintenance

Requirements

Proven experience in maintenance within a care home or similar environment.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards residents and staff.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Relevant qualifications in electrical or plumbing trades are preferred but not essential if complemented by substantial practical experience And basic knowledge
This role is vital in maintaining the high standards of safety and comfort expected within our care environment, ensuring that residents’ needs are met with professionalism and care.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
