Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Care Home Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and safety of our care facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment and infrastructure within the home, ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff alike.
Expected hours would be 18 hours a week.
9am-3pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Liaise with management to plan maintenance schedules that minimise disruption to residents and staff.
- Carry out regular water testing and temperature checks
- Be able to work on own initiative and unsupervised
- Have own transport
- Garden maintenance
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance within a care home or similar environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Customer service orientation with a professional attitude towards residents and staff.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Relevant qualifications in electrical or plumbing trades are preferred but not essential if complemented by substantial practical experience And basic knowledge

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
