What will you be doing?

We are looking for a focused and flexible Business Officer to work within the Business Operations Team within the Place & Sustainability Directorate.

This role will be based at New Shire Hall, Alconbury Weald but have a flexible structure to cope with varying workload pressures and the post holder will be required to regularly work from a number of bases across Cambridgeshire.

We are looking for a candidate who will be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines with an ability to prioritise, organise and manage their own workload and have excellent interpersonal skills combined with the ability to represent the service in a positive and professional manner.

About you

You will be an organised, proactive and enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn and develop, an excellent communicator, both spoken and written.

Along with GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade A-C or equivalent, you will be experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook packages and have the ability to work with set processes/procedures. You will have previous experience in calendar management, setting up meetings and taking minutes.

We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual who works effectively with colleagues as part of a team and demonstrates a positive, "can-do" attitude. The successful candidate will be eager to learn, develop their skills, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.

The role requires someone who can work flexibly and independently under minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. You will be able to manage your workload, adapt to changing priorities, and take responsibility for delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
