Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Ground Worker to join our team in <LOCATION>. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various landscaping, construction, and maintenance projects, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of outdoor work sites. Duties
- Assisting with landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, and lawn care
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators and irrigation systems under supervision
- Supporting construction activities by preparing sites, digging trenches, and laying foundations
- Conducting routine maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
- Assisting with general gardening duties such as planting, watering, and soil preparation
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean and organised to meet health and safety standards
- Supporting team members in executing specialised horticultural or landscaping projects as required
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with power tools and construction equipment such as excavators is advantageous
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and general site maintenance procedures is a plus
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including digging, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in executing tasks accurately
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- A proactive attitude with good teamwork skills
- Valid <PERSON> or relevant certification is preferred but not essential
