Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager (HR Manager) is a newly created position and will report directly to the Group CEO. The role will serve as the HR lead for the UK operation and be responsible for developing the Group’s HR strategy aligned to the company’s core goals and objectives, in collaboration with the Group CEO. The role involves significant autonomy and will require an individual who is a self-starter and able to operate with minimal supervision.
The HR Manager will establish, manage, and continuously improve the company's HR function. This role is responsible for delivering the full employee lifecycle, ensuring legal compliance, driving employee engagement, and providing strategic HR advice to the UK leadership team.
As the sole HR professional within the business, the HR Manager will be expected to operate both strategically and operationally, handling all HR matters, including policy development, workforce planning, employee relations, recruitment, payroll liaison, and organisational development.

· CIPD Level 5 qualification (minimum).

Key Areas of Responsibility
HR Strategy & Leadership
· Align the UK HR strategy with group objectives, driving the successful rollout of core policies, systems,
processes, and internal communications, while ensuring full compliance with UK employment legislation.
· Develop the HR infrastructure required to support the UK business.
· Advise senior management on people-related matters and organisational risks.
· Use workforce data to inform HR priorities, risk management, and leadership decision-making.
· Lead workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
· Drive a positive workplace culture and employee engagement agenda.
· Liaise directly with the Group CEO to provide regular updates on UK HR matters, workforce risks, and progress on the HR strategy.
· Develop and manage the annual HR budget for the UK, including recruitment, training, and HR technology costs in collaboration with the Group Finance team.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
· Work with managers to identify staffing requirements.
· Create job descriptions and person specifications.
· Advertise vacancies through appropriate channels.
· Screen applications and coordinate interviews.
· Drive alignment among decision-makers to ensure final hiring selections align with objectives.
· Conduct pre-employment checks and right-to-work verification.
· Develop and maintain a Preferred Supplier List (PSL) for recruitment agencies.
· Develop an employer value proposition (EVP) to support talent attraction in the UK in collaboration with the Group CEO.
Employee Relations
· Act as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, including the management of disciplinary, grievance, capability, attendance, and conduct procedures.
· Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employment issues.
· Conduct investigations and prepare documentation for formal hearings.
· Support conflict resolution and workplace mediation.
· Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies.
HR Administration
· Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems, and personnel files in compliance with data protection requirements.
· Produce employment contracts, offer letters, and contractual amendments.
· Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
· Monitor probation periods and performance reviews.
· Monitor sickness absence and attendance trends.
· Develop absence management processes and reporting.
· Manage occupational health referrals where required.
· Support and promote employee assistance programmes and wellbeing initiatives.
· Manage external HR suppliers and advisors where required.
· Performance Management
o Design and implement performance management processes.
o Identify performance improvement requirements and develop performance improvement plans where necessary.
o Monitor organisational performance trends.
o Ensure annual performance reviews are conducted in February/March, and interim objectives reviews are conducted in August/September, and support managers when required.
Learning & Development
· Identify training and development needs across the business.
· Create annual training plans and budgets.
· Source and coordinate external training providers.
· Support leadership and management development.
· Monitor compliance training requirements under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
· Manage overall company-wide training skills matrix to ensure full compliance is always met.
· Evaluate training effectiveness and return on investment.
Employment Law & Compliance
· Ensure compliance with all employment legislation and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to the National Minimum Wage, National Living Wage, and UK holiday entitlement legislation (Working Time Regulations 1998).
· Keep up to date with changes in employment law and HR best practice.
· Conduct regular HR audits and risk assessments.
· Manage HR aspects of health and safety in partnership with operational managers.
· Ensure compliance with equality, diversity, and inclusion legislation.
· Maintain GDPR and data protection compliance relating to employee information.
· Manage compliance for any contractor or contingent workforce engagements.

Pay: £60,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
