Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and versatile tradesperson to join our team as a Bricklayer, Plumber, Electrician, Carpenter, or Builder. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of construction and maintenance tasks across different projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise a broad skill set within the building industry, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and safety. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their expertise in multiple trades.

Duties

Constructing, repairing, and maintaining structures using bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, or electrical skills as required
Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently
Installing and repairing plumbing systems, electrical wiring, or structural components according to project specifications
Assisting with roofing tasks and welding work where necessary
Interpreting technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate execution of work
Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards
Collaborating with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment relevant to construction trades
Experience in bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, welding or related fields
Strong knowledge of building codes and safety procedures
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving abilities and adaptability across different tasks
Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients
