An excellent opportunity to join a prestigious organisation in a varied and fulfilling role in a friendly team. Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Supervising the Domestic Assistants to ensure the delivery of a timely and efficient Housekeeping Service
- Liaising with student residents to encourage responsible use and care of residential facilities
- Management of attendance, performance and conduct
- Assisting the Head Housekeeper and Head of Housekeeping with their responsibilities
- Liaising with other departments, including Maintenance and Accommodation, as required
This is a hands-on position, so you must be comfortable getting involved in cleaning tasks when required. This is not an office-based role, and only 10% of the weekly working time will be spent on administrative duties.
To be considered for this interesting role, you will need to have:
- Substantial cleaning experience
- Strong initiative, a proactive approach, and the ability to lead by example
- Excellent communication skills
- Good understanding of relevant Health & Safety provisions
- Proficiency in the use of emails and databases
- A good command of the English language.
The ideal candidate will be a team player, with a flexible approach to tasks and able to work without direct supervision.

Details of the role
The post of Cleaning Supervisor is a permanent, part-time role; however, full-time hours may be considered for the right candidate.
The hours of work available are either 20 or 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday (although some weekend working will be required - for which notice will be given), with a daily unpaid 30-minute lunch break. There is potential for a degree of flexibility on start/finish times.
The annual salary is £15,482.16 to £19,352.71 per annum for 20 to 25 hours per week (Step 33 on the College Salary Scale).
