Full job description

Job Overview:
Working in a team, you’re likely to do a variety of jobs, such as:

· Taking delivery of goods into the warehouse for sorting, stacking and storage

· Picking and packing items for dispatch as they are sent on their way to our customers.

Duties:
· Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.

· Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.

· Taking goods to the storage space using loading and lifting gear for heavy goods

· Keeping a careful record of the stock on the warehouse management system.

· Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely (especially chemicals) and labelled correctly and safely (especially chemicals).

· Picking orders for packing and deliver to the loading bay for transportation.

· Packing items safely & neatly into boxes and crates, using bubble wrap, polystyrene chips etc. You will also ensure orders are packaged and labelled correctly to prevent returned orders.

· Organising transfers and loading goods on to delivery vehicles.

· Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse as part of the daily routine.

· Following workplace health and safety at all times.

Qualifications/Skills:
· Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks throughout the day
· Experience with warehouse management systems is advantageous
· Proficient in stock management procedures and practices
· Skilful in picking, packing, and organising stock efficiently
· Capable of maintaining quality control standards in a warehouse setting

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
