GP Receptionist / Care Navigator (£26,000+)
We are a friendly, supportive, and busy GP practice seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Receptionist / Care Navigator to join our team.
This is an important front-line role, acting as the first point of contact for patients and helping to ensure the smooth, efficient running of the practice.
We are looking for someone who is calm under pressure, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care and administration support.
Salary & Hours
- From £26,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- 37.5 hours per week (Full-time)
- Monday to Friday
- Shifts between 08:00 – 18:30 on a rota basis
- No weekend working
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and visitors in a professional, friendly, and reassuring manner
- Managing incoming calls, enquiries, and signposting appropriately
- Booking, amending, and managing appointments efficiently
- Supporting and managing the practice triage system, ensuring patient requests are processed and directed appropriately
- Using SystmOne to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Using AccuRx for patient messaging and workflow management
- Processing referrals, repeat prescriptions, registrations, and general administrative tasks
- Supporting clinicians and the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintaining a well-organised, professional reception environment

Experience
- Previous GP surgery, healthcare, call centre, triage, office experience is highly desirable
- Experience with medical terminology, referrals, or prescriptions is an advantage
- Care Navigator Certificate is desirable but not essential (training can be provided)
