Parts Manager / Senior Parts Advisor
Location: Hilton & Moss, Bishop's Stortford
Full Time | Permanent | 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Hilton & Moss is one of the UK’s leading classic and performance car specialists, renowned for concours-level restorations, specialist servicing and exceptional vehicle sales. Working across marques including Jaguar, Lotus, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz and Ferrari, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Parts Manager / Senior Parts Advisor to join our growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and commercially minded individual to take responsibility for the overall running of our parts department, supporting both our busy workshop operations and the expanding Hilton & Moss Parts Shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the parts department
- Ordering and supplying parts for workshop projects, servicing and restorations
- Managing stock control, stock intake and inventory organisation
- Overseeing the Hilton & Moss Parts Shop and online parts operations
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
- Identifying new sales opportunities and developing additional revenue streams
- Upselling parts and accessories where appropriate
- Ensuring efficient parts sourcing for classic, modern and performance vehicles
- Working closely with workshop technicians, service advisors and restoration teams
- Monitoring stock levels, lead times and supplier performance
- Maintaining high levels of organisation and accuracy within the department
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Parts Advisor or Parts Manager role within the automotive industry is essential
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts systems and supplier networks
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify sales opportunities
- Confident using parts catalogues, ordering systems and inventory software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced team
Desirable
- Experience working with classic, prestige or performance vehicles
- Knowledge of marques such as Jaguar, Lotus, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz or Ferrari
- Experience within restoration or specialist automotive environments
- A passion for automotive engineering and attention to detail
