CATS College offers an outstanding international pre-university educational experience to students aged 14+ from all over the world. JOB OVERVIEW
The Head of Mathematics will provide strategic leadership and management of the Mathematics Department, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, achievement, and student progress across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. The postholder will lead curriculum development, support and develop teaching staff, and promote excellence in mathematics education within an international school environment.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.
Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Essential Experience
Significant experience teaching Mathematics at KS4 and KS5.
Proven track record of strong examination results.
Experience leading a team or holding a position of responsibility within a Mathematics Department.
Experience with international curricula and diverse student populations.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
Strong subject knowledge across secondary and post-16 mathematics.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to analyse data and drive student achievement.
Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning platforms.
Desirable
Experience with IB Diploma Mathematics, International A Levels, or other international qualifications.
Experience in an independent school setting.
Experience preparing students for mathematics competitions and university admissions tests.
