As Site Electrical Supervisor, you will lead the safe supervision and delivery of electrical works across multiple projects. Working closely with the Lead Construction Manager and delivery teams, you will oversee electrical supervisors, electricians and subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
You will also act as an Electrical Appointed Person (AP), taking responsibility for permits, isolations and compliance with electrical safety rules.
What you'll be doing
- Lead, allocate and supervise electrical works across site teams, including supervisors, electricians and apprentices
- Ensure full compliance with @one Alliance electrical safety rules, statutory regulations and approved method statements
- Issue and manage permits for electrical works and isolations, ensuring safe systems of work are maintained at all times
- Carry out site inspections, toolbox talks and pre‑start briefings, promoting a strong and proactive safety culture
- Monitor progress, track daily outputs and resolve issues that may impact programme or cost
- Oversee subcontractors and commissioning engineers during testing and commissioning activities
- Ensure inspection and test plans, as‑built documentation and NICEIC certification are completed to the required standard
- Manage plant, equipment and material requirements to support efficient delivery
- Support the development and mentoring of electrical supervisors, apprentices and self‑delivery teams
- Promote innovation and the use of digital tools to improve safety, quality and delivery efficiency
Who we're looking for
You will ideally have:
- A CSCS‑affiliated Electrical Supervisor card with proven supervisory experience
- Mechanical & Electrical experience within the water or construction industry
- BS7671 18th Edition and C&G 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Inspection & Testing qualifications
- CITB SMSTS, First Aid and EUSR National Water Hygiene certification
- Experience acting as an Electrical Appointed Person, including issuing permits and managing isolations
- Strong knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations, WIMES and hazardous area compliance (DSEAR / ATEX)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs and panel schematics
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor teams
- Good IT skills and an openness to adopting digital ways of working
