Prestige Fabrications Ltd are currently recruiting for a time served Sheet Metal Fabricator.
The working hours are 39 hours over a 4 day week;
- Monday to Thursday - 7.00am - 5.15pm
Role Description;
Using typical sheet metal machinery such as CNC Press brakes, Rolls, MIG and TIG welding you will be responsible for the fabrication of steel components and sheet metal works to a high standard in a timely manner.
Main responsibilities:
- MIG, TIG Welding & Fabrication of sheet metal components from 0.9mm - 20mm thick
- Fabrication of Sheet Metal Enclosures, Frames, High End Finish Assemblies.
- Manual handling of materials and assemblies to eliminate any damage, or health hazards in line with company policies and Health and Safety Regulations
- Ensuring all stock being processed is maximised to achieve the best stock utilisation possible
- Work with the Design Engineer to overcome any issues
- Maintain and promote safe working practices in line with company policies
- Ensuring all stock and processed products are clearly identified in accordance with both company and customer requirements at all times.
- Support in training of other Operatives
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience welding St/St, Alu & Mild Steel
- Previous experience/knowledge in metal cutting and forming processes including finishing sheet metal sections and forming sheet metal
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and design drawings
- Ability to understand and use all types of measuring equipment
