Business Process & Systems Manager
Location: Glasgow. The role will be hybrid with an expectation of travel within the UK

Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 08:30 to 17:00, Friday 08:30 to 16:00.

Digital Technology Team
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Business Process & Systems Manager to join our UK-wide Digital & Technology Team. This role will align technology, systems and process improvement with the businesses wider strategy and goals. The successful candidate will be passionate about using lean principles and new technology to improve how we work, building internal capability and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across all business functions.
The Role
As our Business Process & Systems Manager, you will improve how our business works by developing better processes, systems and ways of working. This is a practical, hands-on role with a strategic focus. You will help align business processes and systems with our wider goals, lead improvement activity, and support teams to build a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
· Identifying, mapping and improving business processes.
· Using Lean principles to remove waste, bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
· Designing better ways of working that simplify processes and improve effectiveness.
· Translating improvement opportunities into clear system and technology requirements.
· Ensuring systems development and configuration support improved business processes.
· Leading and developing the Systems Lead and Systems Support Analyst.
· Providing clear direction, feedback and development support to the team.
· Maintaining governance over process documentation, system changes and continuous improvement activity.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in continuous improvement in business processes and digital transformation in overall systems development
- Experience documenting business processes, requirements, workflows and operating procedures.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies, understand root causes and deliver sustainable process improvements.
- Strong project management experience, with a track record of delivering business change, process improvement and system improvement initiatives.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and build effective working relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex information into practical recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Lean Six Sigma or equivalent Business Process Continuous Improvement qualification.
- Knowledge of process mapping methodologies and tools.
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Familiarity with change management methodologies.
- Experience within industrial engineering, or service-based environments
· It would be desirable for the successful candidate to have experience working with ERP Systems, although not essential.
