About Us

Adam Bernard Solicitors is a leading law firm based in London, dedicated to providing high-quality legal services across a range of practice areas. We are now seeking an experienced Accounts & operations Intern to join our team and support our busy finance function.

The Role

The Intern will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the accounts department, ensuring compliance with SRA Accounts Rules, and supporting the finance team with a variety of accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Processing invoices, payments, receipts, and expenses accurately and in a timely manner
Maintaining ledgers and reconciling client and office accounts in compliance with SRA Accounts Rules
Handling bank reconciliations on a daily and monthly basis
Assisting with payroll, VAT returns, and other statutory requirements
Supporting month-end and year-end processes
Liaising with solicitors and support staff regarding accounts queries
General administrative duties within the accounts team

Requirements:

Minimum 6 months’ experience working in an accounts practice in the UK (experience in a legal practice is highly desirable)
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial processes
Good understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules (or willingness to learn quickly)
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel essential)
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills and professional approach
