The Role
As a Sales Support Executive, you will work closely with our Business Development Managers and wider commercial team to identify, qualify, and coordinate new business opportunities across our operating region.
You will be responsible for researching prospective customers, generating and qualifying leads, booking appointments, and supporting the onboarding of new customers into the business.
This is a varied role requiring strong communication, organisation, and administration skills, offering the opportunity to make a direct impact on business growth and customer development.
This role is based at our Cannock site, working alongside the Sales Team.
Full training and development support will be provided to the successful candidate.
This role reports directly to the Sales Manager
Responsibilities
- Research, gather, and contact new business sales leads within relevant local areas daily
- Conduct outbound calls to leads generated personally, via Drivers, or through External Sales Representatives
- Book appointments for relevant Business Development Managers
- Discuss opportunities for direct onboarding depending on customer freight volume
- Gather customer data, freight profiles, and relevant operational information prior to meetings
- Provide Business Development Managers with all relevant information ahead of scheduled appointments
- Work towards internal KPIs and targets set by the Sales Manager
- Act as the first point of contact for prospective new customers
- Maintain communication with prospective customers throughout onboarding
- Liaise with internal departments regarding requirements and onboarding details for new customers
- Act as the direct contact for new business during their initial weeks of trading
- Maintain accurate internal systems, reports, and administration records
- Complete all required weekly reporting and internal administration tasks

Salary: £26,624 + Bonus Structure + Commission + Pension + Holidays + Realistic OTE of £40,000
