Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, professional, and compassionate Multi-Drop Delivery Driver to join our team over 4 days a week between Monday - Friday, specialising in the transportation of coffins to funeral directors across the UK. This role requires a high level of care, respect, and professionalism at all times, reflecting the sensitive nature of the goods being delivered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for completing scheduled delivery routes, often involving long-distance travel and occasional overnight stays. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who is dependable, organised, and committed to providing a respectful and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and light commercial vehicles, in full compliance with UK road laws and safety regulations.
Carry out multi-drop deliveries of coffins to funeral directors, ensuring all items are handled with care and dignity.
Load and unload deliveries, which may involve manual handling and heavy lifting.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet tight schedules and minimise delays.
Undertake overnight stays as required, depending on delivery locations and routes.
Maintain clear communication with the transport team regarding schedules, delays, or issues.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and ensure cleanliness and road-worthiness at all times.
Accurately complete delivery paperwork, logs, and relevant documentation.

Requirements & Skills

Full UK driving license (essential).
Minimum of 5 years’ driving experience or aged 25+ (required for company fleet insurance).
Previous experience in multi-drop delivery or a similar logistics role is preferred.
Experience driving vans or light commercial vehicles.
Strong knowledge of UK road regulations and safe driving practices.
Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
Professional, respectful, and empathetic approach due to the nature of the role.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
