Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Gym Instructor to join our fitness team. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding clients through personalised workout routines, providing expert advice on exercise techniques, and promoting a positive and motivating environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about health, fitness, and helping others achieve their wellness goals. Prior experience in fitness coaching or teaching is desirable, alongside a solid understanding of human anatomy.

Duties

Lead and supervise individual and group fitness sessions tailored to clients’ needs and fitness levels
Demonstrate proper exercise techniques to ensure safety and effectiveness
Develop customised workout programmes based on client assessments and goals
Monitor clients’ progress and provide ongoing motivation and support
Educate clients on injury prevention, nutrition, and overall wellness strategies
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workout environment
Stay updated with the latest fitness trends, techniques, and industry best practices
Assist with organising fitness classes, workshops, or special events as required

Qualifications

Proven experience in exercise coaching or fitness instruction is highly desirable
Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to ensure safe exercise practices
Certification in personal training or relevant fitness qualifications is preferred
Enthusiastic, approachable, and able to motivate others
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A recognised first aid qualification is advantageous but not essential
