About Us

Fine Line Sheet Metal Engineering Ltd is a well-established subcontract sheet metal manufacturing company supplying high-quality precision components to a wide range of industries. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team.

The Role

Working closely with our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring that manufactured components meet customer specifications, engineering drawings and quality standards.

Responsibilities

First-off, in-process and final inspection of sheet metal components
Reading and interpreting customer drawings and specifications
Carrying out dimensional inspections using a range of measuring equipment
Identifying and reporting non-conforming products
Assisting with root cause investigations and corrective actions
Maintaining inspection records and quality documentation
Supporting continuous improvement activities within the business
Liaising with production personnel to ensure quality standards are achieved

Requirements

Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or Quality Control role within a manufacturing environment
Experience within sheet metal fabrication, precision engineering or a related industry preferred
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers, height gauges and gauges
Good attention to detail and a methodical approach
Strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge quality issues when necessary
Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems would be advantageous
