Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team, committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. In this role, you will provide essential support, guidance, and mentorship to help individuals develop confidence, independence, and social skills. Your energetic approach will foster a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. Responsibilities

Offer personalized support to children and young people, assisting with daily activities and routines
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages growth and development
Mentor children by providing positive role modeling and encouragement
Assist with educational activities, including teaching basic skills and supporting learning goals
Collaborate with colleagues, families, and other professionals to create tailored care plans
Support children during outings, recreational activities, and community events
Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with organizational policies

Skills

Experience working with children in educational or care settings is highly desirable
Strong mentoring abilities with a passion for supporting youth development
Excellent communication skills to build trusting relationships with children and team members
Ability to teach basic life skills and facilitate learning in a supportive manner
Patience, empathy, and active listening skills to understand individual needs
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and commitment to promoting a safe environment
