Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Self Employed Dog Groomer to provide professional grooming services at Faye’s Doggy Boutique. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to build your own client base, working independently within a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for animal care, excellent customer service skills, and relevant veterinary experience.

Duties

Groom dogs according to breed standards and client specifications, including bathing, trimming, clipping, and styling.
Assess each dog's health and behaviour to ensure safe grooming practices.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of grooming tools and work area.
Provide exceptional customer service by advising clients on grooming needs and aftercare.
Manage appointments efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery.
Handle heavy lifting when necessary, such as lifting large or heavy dogs into bathing tubs or grooming tables.
Keep detailed records of grooming services provided and any special instructions or health concerns.

Experience

Previous experience in dog grooming or a related field is essential.
Strong understanding of different dog breeds and their grooming requirements.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
Ability to handle dogs safely and compassionately, including those with behavioural challenges.
Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting tasks and stand for extended periods. This position offers the flexibility of being self-employed while providing the opportunity to develop a reputable business in pet grooming. Applicants should be organised, professional, and passionate about animal welfare to succeed in this role.

Pay: £100.00-£150.00 per day
