Evolution Fires is a leading UK manufacturer and retailer of luxury electric fireplaces and pre-built media walls.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Bench Joiner / Cabinet Maker to join our manufacturing team.
This position is for an experienced workshop-based joiner. Previous hands-on experience in bench joinery, cabinet making, furniture manufacturing, kitchen manufacturing or a similar workshop environment is essential.
The role involves manufacturing our pre-built media walls, fireplace cabinetry and other high-quality wood-based products from MDF and similar materials.
Main Duties
- Manufacturing pre-built media walls and fireplace cabinetry
- Cutting, assembling and finishing MDF and wood-based products
- Working accurately from measurements, drawings and production instructions
- Using workshop machinery and hand tools
- Using saws, routers, sanders, drills and associated woodworking equipment
- Producing products to a consistently high standard
- Checking dimensions, finish and overall quality before products leave the workshop
- Working efficiently within a busy manufacturing environment
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
Essential Experience
Applicants should have previous professional experience in one or more of the following:
- Bench joinery
- Cabinet making
- Furniture manufacturing
- Kitchen manufacturing
- Bespoke joinery
- MDF fabrication and assembly
You must be confident working independently with workshop machinery and be able to produce accurate, high-quality work without constant supervision.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experienced Bench Joiner, Cabinet Maker or similar
- Strong practical woodworking and assembly skills
- Confident using workshop machinery and hand tools
- Experienced working with MDF and wood-based sheet materials
- Able to work accurately from measurements and drawings
- Excellent attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team
- Experience manufacturing cabinetry, media walls, kitchens or furniture would be particularly beneficial
