Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items in accordance with recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
- Oversee specific sections of the kitchen, such as grill, pastry, or sauces, ensuring smooth operation during service
- Assist in the development of new dishes and menu items in collaboration with the head chef
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available
- Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training where necessary
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards at all times during food preparation and service
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a busy restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Previous experience working as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role is preferred
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are advantageous but not essential
- A passion for creating high-quality dishes and delivering exceptional customer service
