WINDOW & DOOR SURVEYOR

Tower Windows is continuing to grow, and we are looking for an experienced Window & Door Surveyor to join our team.
We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of the window and door industry who can take a sold contract and complete a thorough, accurate survey, ensuring every installation is properly specified and ready to progress to ordering and fitting.
This is an important role within the business, working closely with our Sales, Installations and Operations teams to ensure jobs are technically correct, commercially sound and deliver the high standards our customers expect from Tower Windows.
THE ROLE
As a Window & Door Surveyor, you will visit customers following the sale of their project and carry out detailed pre-installation surveys.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out accurate and comprehensive surveys for replacement windows and doors.
Surveying UPVC, aluminium and composite window and door installations.
Taking accurate manufacturing sizes and recording all relevant technical information.
Assessing existing openings, construction methods and installation requirements.
Identifying requirements for lintels, structural support, cills, thresholds, trims, finishing details and making good.
Checking access requirements and identifying any potential installation difficulties.
Ensuring products specified by the Sales team are suitable for the property and proposed application.
Checking that the proposed installation complies with relevant Building Regulations, FENSA requirements and industry standards.
Identifying any discrepancies between the sales contract and what is technically required.
Producing clear, detailed survey information to allow products to be ordered correctly.
Taking comprehensive photographs to support the survey.
Liaising with customers professionally and explaining any technical issues where required.
Working closely with our Installations and Operations teams to resolve queries before products are ordered.
Helping to minimise ordering errors, remakes, installation delays and additional costs through accurate surveying.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The successful candidate should have:
Min 5 years previous experience within the window and door industry.
Experience surveying windows and doors is essential.
Excellent knowledge of UPVC, aluminium and composite products.
A strong understanding of window and door installation methods.
Good knowledge of relevant Building Regulations and industry requirements.
The ability to recognise potential structural and installation issues before work commences.
Excellent attention to detail and accurate measuring skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
The ability to work independently and manage a busy surveying schedule.
Good organisational and administrative skills.
Confidence using tablets, smartphones and digital systems to record surveys and photographs.
A professional and customer-focused approach.
A full UK driving licence.
Experience with bifold doors, sliding doors, French doors, flush sash products and more complex window and door installations would be particularly advantageous.

The role will involve travelling to customers throughout our operating area, predominantly across North Wales, Chester, Cheshire, Wirral and surrounding locations.
