Full job description

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to join our excellent Reception team. Prior experience working within the veterinary sector, although not essential, is desirable and proven excellence gained in an office admin position is a must.

As the first person greeting our valued clients you must be reliable, approachable and professional. You will provide reception cover mornings and evenings four days a week from Monday – Friday. Additional cover may also be required during busy periods and holidays in our Mold Hospital or one of our branch surgeries, so flexibility and a car are essential.

The successful candidate will be required to manage customer enquiries both on the telephone and face to face, as well as able to quickly learn to use our computer systems for booking appointments, updating client records, responding to emails and creating invoices, so good IT skills are essential.

Applicants must be confident and able in handling money, card transactions, end of day cashing up and willing and able to assist the duty vet by holding animals if necessary. General cleaning duties are also required and essential to ensure that hygiene is maintained for our visiting clients and patients.

Core hours of work between the hours of 8.30 am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday. You will also be entered into the weekend rota covering approximately 1 Saturday or Sunday in 6 (Saturday 8.30am – 10.30am and 4pm – 6.30pm or 10am – 12noon Sunday) A competitive hourly rate of pay is offered for this position. Training will be provided and a uniform supplied
