Position: Care home Administrator
Location: Cherrys Road, Barnsley, S71 5QU
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Blossom Lodge is an 84-bed purpose-built modern nursing, dementia, and residential care home dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a warm and supportive environment. Located in a residential area with easy access to public transport and city centre. We are seeking an organised, professional, and enthusiastic Administrator to join our team and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing reception duties and acting as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and professionals.
- Handling telephone calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate resident and staff records.
- Supporting payroll, invoicing, and general financial administration.
- Coordinating meetings, appointments, and staff documentation.
- Assisting with recruitment administration, onboarding, and training records.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Providing administrative support to the Home Manager and wider team.
Essential Requirements
- Previous administration experience, minimum 3 years ideally within a care home or health care sector.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- A positive, friendly, and proactive approach to work.
Desirable
- Experience working within a nursing or residential care setting.
- Knowledge of care sector administration and compliance requirements.
- Experience with payroll or care management systems.
