Full job description

Role Type: Full-time - SHOP FLOOR
Location: South Kirkby

We are looking for a detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our team. This role involves preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking to ensure a high-quality finish. The ideal candidate will have experience in surface preparation and a strong understanding of industrial painting processes.

Responsibilities

Inspect surfaces for contamination, damage, or imperfections.
Clean and degrease surfaces to be painted.
Scrape and sand surfaces to remove imperfections.
Fill cracks, dents, or other imperfections with appropriate filling material.
Mask and protect areas that should not be painted.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Assist painters by preparing paints, cleaning brushes and rollers, and organizing supplies.
Store paint supplies properly to ensure they remain in good condition.
Adhere to safety protocols to minimize risk of injury and property damage.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Paint Prepper or in a similar role.
Knowledge of different surface preparation techniques.
Ability to use sanding, masking, and priming tools effectively.
Strong attention to detail and quality control.
Understanding of workplace safety regulations.
Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.

Working Hours

The working hours for this position are 40 hours per week, from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday. The business is closed for Bank Holidays, we also enjoy a shutdown every Christmas until after the New Year.
