We’re seeking an ambitious and strategic Assistant Director of Digital and Transformation to lead our digital agenda and play a pivotal role in delivering our organisational goals.

Role: Assistant Director of Digital and Transformation
Location: Hybrid – working from our Cardiff office with the option to work from home and other Cartrefi office locations. Travel to our other offices across Wales is also required.
Hours: 37 hours a week
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum depending on experience
Contract: Permanent
What you’ll do
Guided by our values of Honesty, Trust, Kindness, Respect, and Wellbeing, you will:
- Lead the development and delivery of our digital transformation strategy and roadmap.
- Manage and develop the digital team, creating a high-performing and innovative culture.
- Develop and deliver a structured lifecycle and governance framework for identifying, testing, evaluating, scaling or retiring new digital technologies.
- Identify opportunities for digital improvement and transformation across Cartrefi through a user-centred and inclusive approach.
- Enhance the organisation's digital infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and fit for purpose.
- Work with colleagues at all levels to drive adoption of digital solutions and embed digital ways of working.
- Establish measures and reporting mechanisms to evaluate the impact and success of digital initiatives.
- As part of our senior leadership team, provide strategic advice and insight on digital trends, opportunities, and risks.

What we’re looking for
- Significant experience developing digital and data capabilities across an organisation, ideally in a charity or public service context
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
- A good understanding of data governance, reporting, analytics and cybersecurity
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading organisational change.
- Direct delivery experience, comfortable rolling up sleeves and making practical improvements.
- Experience of delivering major, organisation-wide projects using defined project management frameworks
Other requirements
- Full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle - there will be a requirement to travel throughout Wales to other Cartrefi Cymru offices, therefore, the use of a car with appropriate business insurance will be required
