Contract Type -Contract by Contract- Self employed.

Pay Scale- £80-£100 per session

The Behaviour Clinic is a specialist multidisciplinary organisation providing trauma-informed support to children, young people, families, foster carers, adoptive parents, schools, residential homes, and local authorities across Wales and South West England.
Our team includes Behaviour Analysts, Play Therapists, Social Workers, Counsellors, Family Practitioners, and other therapeutic professionals who work together to improve outcomes for children and young people facing complex emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges.
We are particularly recognised for our work with care-experienced children and our TRIBE® Trauma-Informed Care model, which combines behavioural science, attachment theory, and therapeutic practice to support meaningful and lasting change.
About The Role
Behaviour Analysts play a central role within our multidisciplinary team. Our Behaviour Analysts help families, carers, schools, and professionals understand how to integrate behavioural principles within the context of trauma, attachment, learning history, and environmental influences.
Work may include:
Behavioural assessments
Functional assessments and formulation
Parent and carer consultations
School consultations
Residential care support
Direct work with children and young people
Behaviour support planning
Therapeutic intervention planning
Training and workshops
Multi-agency collaboration
This role provides the opportunity to apply behavioural science in innovative and meaningful ways while developing specialist expertise in trauma-informed care through our TRIBE® Trauma-Informed Care model.
Typical Responsibilities
Complete behavioural and therapeutic assessments
Develop evidence-based trauma-informed Support Plans
Undertake consultations with parents, carers, schools, and professionals
Deliver direct support to children and young people where appropriate
Provide behavioural consultation within residential and foster care settings
Contribute to multidisciplinary formulations and intervention planning
Deliver training workshops and professional development sessions
Produce high-quality reports and recommendations
Monitor outcomes and review interventions
Support the dissemination of behavioural science using accessible, jargon-free language

Essential Requirements
MSc in Behaviour Analysis or equivalent recognised qualification
Registration with the UK Society of Behaviour Analysis UKBA(cert)
Strong understanding of behavioural assessment and intervention
An understanding of Trauma Informed Care
Ability to develop evidence-based Support Plans
Excellent communication and report-writing skills
Ability to explain behavioural concepts to families and professionals using accessible language
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Strong IT skills and confidence using digital systems
Desirable Experience
Experience working with care-experienced children and young people
Experience supporting foster, adoptive, or kinship families
Experience working within schools, residential care, or social care services
Knowledge of attachment theory and developmental trauma
Experience delivering parent training or professional workshops
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
Additional therapeutic training or qualifications (ACT, CBT, DBT, PCAP, Theraplay, Life Story Work, or related approaches)
Experience supporting children with emotional regulation, attachment, behavioural, or developmental needs
Pay: £80.00-£100.00 per hour
