An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Surgical Gynaecological Oncology to join a dynamic and high-performing regional cancer centre serving South East Wales.
Based at the University Hospital of Wales, you will work within a well-established tertiary referral service delivering specialist care for complex gynaecological malignancies alongside secondary care provision for Cardiff and the Vale. The department manages over 450 cancer surgeries annually and reviews more than 800 patients through its multidisciplinary team (MDT), offering exposure to a broad and complex case mix. The service delivers advanced and innovative surgical care, including minimally invasive and robotic surgery, sentinel lymph node mapping, ultra-radical cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC, supported by close collaboration with colorectal, urology and reconstructive teams. Strong links with Velindre Cancer Centre ensure fully integrated oncology pathways.
You will join a highly skilled multidisciplinary team with a strong commitment to patient-centred care, prehabilitation and enhanced recovery, alongside active involvement in teaching, training and service development. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a forward-thinking regional service with strong collaborative networks and a commitment to clinical excellence and innovation.
