Position: Teacher – PE/PHSE/Outdoor education

Location: Bassaleg, Newport

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary Details: Up to £32,000 per annum DOE

We welcome qualified/unqualified teachers

We are looking for Teacher – PE/PHSE/Outdoor education to educate our pupils in our Greenfields independent school. We are looking for someone who have an inspirational approach to delivering the curriculum. The successful candidate will join our thriving school and make a real difference to the lives of our learners.

The school:

Greenfields School is a specialist independent school catering for up to 30 pupils aged 9 to 18 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Located in Newport, South Wales the school provides a therapeutic and nurturing environment tailored to learners who have often faced interrupted education or exclusions from mainstream settings.

Requirements:

Teaching experience.
A thorough understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching methodologies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
A passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.

The Role will include:

Teaching small groups of pupils within the classroom.
Prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the pupils needs.
Support other staff members to deliver high quality education consistently.
Develop and adapt conventional teaching methods to meet the individual needs of learners.
Work closely with SEND teaching assistants to define appropriate activities for the learners in relation to the curriculum.
Manage behaviour of learners.
