Salary: Grade 4 – £28,958.00 - £30,406.38 (pro rata)
Working Hours: 18.5 hours ¦ 2.5 days per week. (While set days will be confirmed before appointment, a degree of flexibility will be required to support team capacity and maintain appropriate staffing levels – please indicate preferred working days within your application)
Location: Hybrid working with at least one day per week spent at the Sport Wales National Centre, Cardiff
How you’ll contribute:
You’ll play an important role within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary communications team, supporting the planning and delivery of communications activity across Sport Wales.
This role is suited to someone with some experience who is ready to take the next step in their communications career. While part-time (2.5 days per week), it offers meaningful responsibility and impact.
You’ll bring experience of working in a busy communications environment,
with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work
at pace.
Key areas of contribution include:
Producing clear, engaging and audience-focused content across digital channels, including newsletters, web and social media.
Supporting content planning and identifying opportunities to tell compelling stories.
Contributing to the delivery of campaigns, projects and
organisational priorities.
Supporting social media activity, website content and digital platforms.
Helping manage communications systems and processes, including newsletters and inboxes.
Monitoring media and communications activity to support Sport Wales’ reputation management.
Who you’ll work with:
You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation and with external partners to ensure communications are consistent, high-quality and aligned to our Communications Approach.
What you’ll need:
Experience of working within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary communications or marketing team.
Proven ability to produce high-quality content for a range of
audiences and channels.
Experience of managing competing priorities and working to
tight deadlines.
Experience of using digital platforms including social media, web
and email systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent
attention to detail.
A collaborative approach and ability to build effective working relationships.
You’ll also need to be comfortable working flexibly, including occasional out-of-hours working and participation in an on-call rota.
