About the Role

Cardiff has a strong automotive retail and servicing market and at Car On Automotive Group we focus on providing customers with clear advice reliable vehicle support and a professional service experience from booking through collection.

We are looking for an Automotive Service Advisor who can act as the main point of contact between customers and our workshop team.

You will help organise service bookings explain recommended work provide progress updates and make sure customers receive accurate information throughout the service process.

Customer Ownership: You will have responsibility for supporting customers throughout their service visit and helping ensure expectations are managed professionally.

Workshop Exposure: You will work closely with technicians parts staff workshop coordinators and customer service colleagues across day to day automotive operations.

Growth: We support continued development in automotive service workshop coordination customer communication and aftersales operations.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service: Welcome customers understand their vehicle requirements and provide clear professional guidance throughout the service process.

Service Booking: Schedule servicing maintenance inspections repairs and other workshop appointments based on customer needs and workshop availability.

Workshop Coordination: Communicate customer requirements to technicians and monitor job progress to help keep work on schedule.

Service Updates: Keep customers informed about progress additional work expected completion times and any changes to estimated costs.

Quotations: Prepare accurate estimates for servicing repairs parts and other recommended work.

Parts Coordination: Work with the parts team to confirm availability of required components and help minimise delays.

Customer Records: Maintain accurate booking vehicle service and customer information within internal systems.

Issue Resolution: Help resolve customer queries scheduling concerns and service related issues in a professional and practical manner.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in automotive customer service service advising workshop administration parts support or a closely related role.

Automotive Knowledge: A practical understanding of vehicle servicing maintenance repairs and common workshop terminology is preferred.

Customer Service Skills: Confident dealing with customers in person by telephone and through email while maintaining a helpful and professional approach.

Organisation: Able to manage service bookings workshop schedules customer updates and several priorities during busy periods.

Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical information in straightforward language.

Commercial Awareness: Comfortable preparing estimates discussing recommended work and supporting appropriate service opportunities without using high pressure sales techniques.

Problem Solving: Calm and practical when handling delays parts availability issues scheduling changes or customer concerns.

Tools: Experience with workshop management booking CRM invoicing or automotive service systems is preferred.

Mindset: You are organised approachable and customer focused. You take ownership of customer queries communicate clearly and work closely with the workshop team to provide a reliable and professional service experience.

Pay: £2,600.00-£3,000.00 per month
