About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and motivated Qualified Dental Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. We can offer either a part-time or full-time position, however availability to work on Wednesdays and Thursdays is essential.
We will also consider applications from a Trainee Dental Nurse who is currently enrolled on a recognised dental nursing qualification and has a minimum of 1 year's chairside dental nursing experience.
The successful candidate will be expected to work across both of our practice locations, including our Cardiff City Centre practice and our Bute Street practice, according to the needs of the business. Flexibility to travel between sites is therefore essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and chairside support to dentists and hygienists
- Carry out instrument decontamination in accordance with WHTM 01-05 guidelines
- Assist with reception duties when required
- Maintain high standards of patient care, cross-infection control, and clinical compliance
Requirements
Qualified Dental Nurse Applicants:
- Minimum 1 years of dental nursing experience as a qualified nurse (required)
- Valid GDC registration (required)
Trainee Dental Nurse Applicants:
- Currently enrolled on a recognised dental nursing qualification
- Minimum 1 year of chairside dental nursing experience
- Able to demonstrate commitment to completing their qualification
For All Applicants:
- Reception experience desirable
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Availability to work Wednesdays and Thursdays (essential)
The successful candidate must be able to provide:
- Two forms of ID
- Evidence of Hepatitis B immunisation
- Enhanced DBS check
- Two professional references
- Valid GDC registration (if qualified)
