Sales Development Executive

CPM is looking for a Sales Development Executive to join our new team representing Haleon within the grocery retail sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to drive sales and enhance the in-store presence of market-leading healthcare brands, including Sensodyne, Advil, and Centrum. £28,000 + 10% bonus PA, car, tablet and mobile. This is a full time role working Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs per week.
Ideal location: Newport, United Kingdom, NP10
Territory covering: Bath, Bristol, Gloucester, Cardiff, Forest of Dean, Hereford, Newport, Gwent Valleys, Swansea, Swindon and surrounding areas
A driver’s licence that enables you to drive in the UK is essential.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and driven Sales Development Executive to join our team, representing Haleon across grocery and key retail channels. This field-based role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys working independently while delivering measurable results.
As a Sales Development Executive, you will play a vital role in driving product availability, visibility, and compliance in-store. You’ll bring brands to life through impactful merchandising, promotional activations, and strong retailer relationships, ensuring campaigns are executed to the highest standard.
What You’ll Be Doing

Execute in-store activities including merchandising, POS implementation, promotional displays, and FSDU builds to maximise brand visibility and sales.

Complete scheduled store visits in line with client briefs, KPIs, and compliance standards.

Capture accurate data, insights, and photographic evidence using digital reporting tools.

Build strong relationships with store managers and colleagues to secure incremental opportunities and enhance brand presence.

Manage your own territory effectively, demonstrating strong organisation, accountability, and attention to detail.

Communicate confidently and professionally while delivering excellent customer service.

Adapt to changing campaign requirements and identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement.

Represent the company and client with integrity, professionalism, and a results-driven mindset.

Previous field merchandising, retail, or sales experience and/or experience working within grocery or FMCG environments would be advantageous but not essential.
